Unlocking The Love Of Jesus

1 John 4:19 We love, because He first loved us.

(Two extreme mistakes people make with Jesus is believing their sin makes God hate them or their good works makes God love them. Before I was saved I really believed God hated me because of all the sin I committed. I was never in danger of thinking my good works earned me a seat in heaven. This created an ongoing deception. The more I sinned the more I thought I was ineligible  and unable to make heaven. This could not have been farther from the truth. While I knew if I died I was not welcome in heaven but I did not realize no matter how bad my life was Jesus died so I can be spiritually saved.)

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

(While we were molesting babies, sexual sin with same gender, sexual sin with opposite gender, telling lies, having lustful thoughts, murder, cheating, stealing, and loving money Jesus died for us. The Love of Jesus is impossible to fully understand. Often times the more righteous of a life we live the more subject we are to being prideful. On the flip side the more sin we commit the more our heart gets corrupted if we do not repent!)

1 Corinthians 131If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,a but have not love, I gain nothing.

(Learning Hebrew, becoming a Messianic Jew, obeying the law is not evil but vain without love!)

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

(Father God I pray that you clean our heart and renew a right spirit within us in Jesus name! God is not impressed with how much we know and how good we are but He pays attention to our love for Jesus!)
