Trash To Treasure

Sermons

Matthew 6:20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.                             (It takes less energy to trust Jesus then it does to worry about money. How do you feel when you get a brand new car and some one keys it? How do you feel when you get brand new white shoes and some one steps on them? The pain we feel over money and materials we feel because we are in the flesh. God wants us to focus on eternal life not our temporal life. When we focus on eternal life in Jesus Christ we will have peace, joy and abundant spiritual satisfaction.)

Luke 16: 19There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;(Friends who only come around when you hit the lottery are not friends. If the rich man had taken care of Lazarus the poor beggar would never had to begged. All the poor man wanted was the crumbs not money. If the rich man was not so prideful and selfish trying to spend all his money on his clothes whole neglecting people in need he may have not have ended up in hell. People in this world who looked at as trash will one day be looked at as treasure in heaven if Jesus is their Lord!)

Genesis 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.                              (Joseph was thrown into well, sold to slavery, falsely accused and sent to prison. Joseph went from a life of trash to life of treasure with just one interpretation of one dream. If we get in Christ Jesus we are all one dream, one vision, one idea away from never being the same again!)

2 Corinthians 3:18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.                                                                                        (One man’s trash is another “God’s” treasure!)
