Too Far Gone?
Do you want to know the Lord but feel like you have sinned too much and are “too far gone” to be forgiven? Sadly many people feel this way, and sadly there are some people that have been given over to their wicked sin by God.
“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;” Romans 1:28
What does reprobate mean? It means unapproved, worthless, castaway, rejected. The Bible teaches that some sinners are reprobate. A reprobate person would not feel remorse for their sin or any desire to have a relationship with Jesus Christ for the rest of their life. Faith and repentance is a gift from God we can willfully receive but someone that is reprobate would not be offered that gift anymore and will go on in their sin without guilt and end up in Hell.
“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” Romans 2:4
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8
If you have any desire to be right with God, a love for God and desire to repent then you can know that you are not “too far gone”. Just the idea that you are worried about being “too far gone” proves that you are not “too far gone”!
1 John 1:9-10 “9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” 1 John 1:9-10
Please do not waste any more time in your life worrying that God can not forgive your sin. Today is the day of salvation! Seek Jesus today and you will find Him, He will save you today!
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18
