Seeking and Obeying God

People will fall away looking for signs rather than truth in God’s word.

God’s love give us chances to repent and get back to His will. This is the mercy , this is the justice , this is the grace of God.

2 Peter  3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to  us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God’s love and goodness give us a chance to repent and get back right with him. There are  people  who backslide in their faith  with whatever endless reasons but it does not mean they can’t get back right with God. The thief on the cross at the last moment of his life repented , but i encourage you to do it now because you might not get the same chance , some people died without warning … Salvation is Now.

Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

It was not convenient for Jonah to obey God. He had to sacrifice to obey God. God called Jonah to travel to Nineveh so that he could encourage the people  to turn to God. Jonah failed to recognize God’s love for all persons and fled in the opposite direction toward Tarshish . Some people quit on God when it is inconvenient  yet God is gracious and gave  another chance for Jonah  to make it right.

How many of us heard from God , you know God told you to do something but you didn’t  do it. You pause, you delayed , you waited , you disobey and that opportunity closes  but God reappeared to you the second time and gave you another opportunity to get it right .

Some people come to church interact with the Holy Spirit , interact with Jesus, with His Word , but despite of interacting with the truth for whatever endless reason they will still go away ..

John 6:67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved…
