Rainbows And Butterflies

Sermons
Egg Stage
Job 14:1 “Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.
(All of us are born with sin nature which puts us all in the same boat. Some may proclaim to be born as Christian but Jesus said none is good save God.)
Caterpillar Stage
Isaiah 33:4 And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.
(The bible uses caterpillars as a act of judgement and consequence of sin. Caterpillars will eat none stop for 7 days in a row which destroys farms. This reminds me of how I used to be before I was a Christian always destructive to myself and those around me.)
Cocoon Stage
Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
(Before I was a Christian God let me go to prison which was like a symbolic coon stage. Caterpillars release stomach stomach acids that completely liquify them and undergo a metamorphism. This is what happened to me spiritually when I became a christian. I lost all I had and died to my old reputation, died to the love of the world and died to my flesh. The liquified substance with stem cells rebuilds itself by God’s design. Just as we are sealed by the blood of Jesus for a day of redemption the caterpillar is sealed by the cocoon for a day to be freed from his cocoon but he first must die to his old self.)
Butterfly Stage
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(When the butterfly is released from his cocoon and he is able to fly above all the troubles of the world. The butterfly will experience a never before new behavior pattern and purpose which is to glorify Jesus!)
Rainbows Stage                                                                                                                                Genesis 9:17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”Revelation 10:1 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars.’                                                                                                                                                   (I remember one day when I was in prison God let a rainbow go over the razor wire fence and land into the yard on the way to chow. The light was bursting so bright from the ground that the grass inside of the prison was glowing with colors. It reminded me that even in prison God’s beauty is able to be present.  The rainbow is a refraction and a reflection of lighting going through liquid prisms of rain drops distributing 380 to 760 nm of the electromagnetic spectrum. All to show of the glory of God’s beauty and remind man that He chooses to make peace with us. How ever the liquid prisms need to be in the right place at the right time and in unity with the other raindrops in order to form a prism. Just like God’s children must be in the place where God called us to be doing what God called us to do in order to reflect and refract the glories light of Jesus Christ!)
