Not Ashamed

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16

We are never to be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be willing to talk about it with everyone. You never know who may get saved by hearing it. When someone asks us about our faith we must always be ready to witness to them, giving them your testimony is a great way to start.

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” 1 Peter 3:15

Jesus tells us to not be ashamed of Him. Many people in the world are ashamed to mention Jesus to other people for fear of being ridiculed or mocked. Do not forget that Jesus Himeslf was mocked, publicly humiliated, tortured and crucified to save your soul from sin and Hell. Do you expect Jesus to let you into Heaven when you are embarrassed of Him in front of others after all He has done for you?

“For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.” Luke 9:26

We can rest assured that if we obey Jesus and confess Him before men we will be greatly blessed. We can also be sure if we deny Jesus before men we can be greatly cursed.

“32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. “33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-22
