Moving In Step

2 Samuel 6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod.

(When judges critique a dancers performance they look for Sincrinized rhythm of the body to match the beat or tune of the song. If some one is jumping up and down while dancing fast to a soft elegant slow song then it does not flow. The body has to be on one accord and working together.  When we are operating in the Holy Spirit there is a rhythm as well. We need to learn to move in step with God regardless of what is going on around us. There was two times that I danced in the Holy Spirit. The first time was when my car got stolen and the second time was when I just found out I was homeless. My reaction did not match the situation because I was moving in step with God. Needless to day God blessed me in both situations and worked it all out for my good.)

John 21:18 I tell you the truth, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.”

John 5:30 I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me.

Matthew 14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

(Imagine if Peter would have asked the Lord to wait while he calculated the scientific equation of the mass and density of his body weight compared to the H2O chemical composition of the resistance of the water to hold up his body weight so he could walk on water. I believe many times we hear God telling us to come but we try to figure everything out and start to move out of step by sight and not by faith. Walking by sight can cheat out from reaching our full potential in Christ and seeing the miracles and blessings God has This is a true sign of spiritual growth and maturity is when we become dependent on God for all things. Pray to God before we make major moves in life, pray to God for even the small things in life down to the food that He wants us to eat. If we make God our leader and our guide we will be able to avoid bounds of trouble and the trouble that we do face we can be confident He will cause us to overcome it because we know He led us to it.)
