Million Friends, But One God

The company a person keeps says a lot about a person. If you have friends that are
loud, rude, and obnoxious, most likely people will assume you act just like them. As a christian it would be wise to be friends with God’s people.
Proverbs 13:20 “ He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”
Whether you have “worldly” friends or christian friends, all friends come and go, but the Lord is here to stay forever. Nowadays people focus on how many friends they
have, especially younger people on social media. They would compare how many follows, likes, or comments they have and who has the most. Ultimately, it turns into a popularity contest.
The question here is what does having all these friends do for you? The answer is NOTHING, even after having so many people around you will still feel some type of void in your life. You will try everything you can to fill that void, but nothing can fill besides God. Many people like to follow the trend and right now being “churchy” is not really trendy. This is when having christian friends comes in handy. Going to church and praising God is not trending to the world but it will always be “trendy” to the people of God. Some christian  who go to church, praise, and worship him live a double life. They try to pretend like they do not go to church or believe in
God in front of certain people.
Jesus said “ But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven” Matthew 10:33.
The last days are closer than you think, stop impressing carnal minded worldly people and devote your life to the Lord. You might be surrounded by tons of people now, but when you are dead it will just be you, God, and his judgement.
