Learning To Love Souls

Sermons

1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?                                                                                                                                                    (A wise Pastor once told me that when we are loving we are at our best and when we are not we are at our worst. The Holy Ghost will lead and guide us by His love. We cannot love others until we first accept how much God loves us. Love is God which means we cannot love without God and no one can love us without God.)

Matthew 26:9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. 10  When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. 11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.                                                          (We need to love God more than money in order to be able to love souls. A salesman who makes commission cannot be trusted. The customer does not know if everything the salesman is saying is just so they can get paid or if they really care about the best interest of the customer? Are we only trying to get people to join a church, give money and use them? Are we a Christian salesman or do we actually love their soul? If we remove the money aspect are we just as motivated in loving souls?)

Luke 9:62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”                                                                   (The inevitable fact is we all are going to get hurt many times in this life. We all need to let Jesus continually heal our pain and forgive who ever hurt us. Any time we have trouble forgiving it is because we are prideful in the area that we got hurt in. When we forgive them we can move forward to being able to properly love the new souls that God places in our life. )

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that wins souls is wise.                                                                                                                                 (No one is a master of love and no one is love except Jesus Christ. However if we love Jesus continually, humble ourselves continually, hate money continually and forgive continually we will begin to learn to love souls!)
