Jesus Is Not In It

Sermons

1 Kings 19:11 The LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

(People can be the most miserable Christians depending on these huge spiritual experiences and over looking the small things in life. God is very practical as well as spiritual. Not every act of God is initially obvious but often takes time to come to pass. Which is why we need to be patient and wait on God to make His deeds known to us. When we have the Holy Spirit we will appreciate small things in our every day life. The devil tries to get us to focus on what we don’t and make us feel like what we have is not good enough. He also gives people thoughts that they need something else to make them happy or be of value.)

Acts 7:48 “However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says: 49 “‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be?

(This bible verse is not telling us to stop going to a church building or gathering together in the name of Jesus. This bible verse is not saying God is not able to go into a house build with man’s hands. This bible verse is not saying to stop being faithful and loyal to a Christian Church. This bible verse is saying God is omnipresent and can be at all places at all times. This bible verse is telling us that Jesus is not in a house alone He sent the Holy Ghost to live inside of us. This bible verse is saying that Jesus desires a 24/7 relationship with us not just 2 hours a week. This is how so many people can go to church and look religious but are so messed up. Jesus is not in it but if we are in Him He will be in us!)
