Be Encouraged In Jesus Name
Encourage: 1. Give support, confidence, or hope to (someone): “encouraging results”; “I feel encouraged”. 2. Give support and advice to (someone) to do or continue something: “pupils are encouraged to be creative”.
(One of the greatest spiritual weapons God gave us is the power of encouragement. We should not be looking for encouragement from people but from God. After we receive encouragement from God then we will be able to encourage others! I remember one day when I was in prison and God told me to write a simple letter of encouragement to fellow inmate that I did not know. After I wrote the letter I handed it to the guy in chow line. I looked him in the eyes and said God told me to give you this letter. He was so shocked and surprised! The next day he ran up to me crying and hugged me. He said you do not know how much that letter meant to me. He said it saved my life he was planning on killing himself due to gambling debts and other problems in prison. He said after he got the letter of encouragement he knew Jesus was going to see him through it all. Had that inmate never read the letter he would have never been encouraged. Well God has given us a letter of encouragement called the Holy Bible.)
1 Thessalonians 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.
Job 42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
